My name is Tony Eden, head tech at Boattronics of North Florida. Growing up in N. Florida, I have always been interested in two things; electronics and salt water fishing. I began my career with a local competitor who I worked for installing marine electronics for ten years. During this time I gained my education, taking every course available and being certified by every major manufacturer. (Raymarine, Furuno, Garmin, Nothstar, Simrad, KVH, etc.) I also spent several years in 12 volt audio competitions, where I learned how to design and install the most awesome audio/video systems possible. In 2005 I started my first business, the original Soundwaves Marine Electronics of Jacksonville. Five years later, after much consideration, I decided it was best for a change this year for 2010, and created Boattronics of North Florida. I believe the new name represents our specialization in the full spectrum of marine electronics better than the name "Soundwaves". Not to mention the business that started in 2008 (three years after mine) with a very similar name right here in Jax., causing confusion. But all warranties and such with all of my customers will carry over to the new name, and I will always stand behind my work regardless of my business' name!
But I don't just work on marine electronics, I use them constantly too. All of my spare/vacation time is spent on my other passion- the pelagic pursuit. I have logged over 10,000 hours at sea cruising and fishing. I have taken over thirty trips by private vessel to the Bahamas, including a trip on a 30' Strike we took from the south end of Cat island, Bahamas, all the way back to Jacksonville. And I've captained customers yachts to 58' all the way around the Bahamas. I also love to fish every tournament I can, and have placed in several of them.
My marine electronics and fishing has taken me all the way to national television! Electronics, boating and fishing is my passion and lifelong commitment, and I plan on serving north Florida for the rest of my life. This is not a job to me, it's a lifestyle that I love. I believe my electronics experience combined with thousands of hours at sea on private vessels actually using these systems (with several of N.Florida's best captains) give me the tools to provide the best install and after the sale service in the industry. I can help design your system for free, install your equip. with a master's touch, at the lowest price available, and teach you the best ways to use your equipment to safely navigate and actually catch fish, for no additional cost. Please call today and allow me to earn your business.
My number has been the same one for 15 years-
